CLASS II Brief review material from class I, review home study sheets. May 17, 2008 Trouble shooting basic power supplies in tube and solid state Equipment. Introduction to transformers, chokes, capacitors, half and full wave rectifiers, DC filter networks, vacuum tubes, diodes, PNP & NPN transistors. Voltage and current calculations. Lab: testing tubes, transistors, and diodes. Basic circuit analysis, testing transformers, transformer identification. Take home work book with diagrams and home study material for class II. |

open for sellers and non sellers alike at 9 AM sharp. If you are not
selling, Mike requests that you park outside the gate so that the inside
area can be reserved for those displaying merchandise. |

CLASS III Brief review material from class II, review home study sheets. June 21, 2008 Intro. AM, FM, Short wave, signal detection, crystal radios, audio amplifiers, voltage multiplier circuits, voltage and current regulation voltage and current regulation in electronic circuits, introduction to trouble shooting amplifiers and radios. How to use signal injection and tracing in troubleshooting audio amplifiers. The oscilloscope, sine and square waves to diagnose problems in amplifiers Lab: Crystal radio demo. Experiment with voltage double and tripler circuits, hands on audio amplifier experiments (tube and solid state). Single ended, parallel, and push – pull circuits. Take home work book with diagrams and home study material for class III. |
